3.9 Telling your viewers a story
A robin lands on a piece of apparatus in a children's playground. It is aware of the presence of the photographer and as she tries to get a little closer for another shot, it poses for a moment then flies away.

I think I was telling a story here - there's a very obvious linear sequence and it's easy to understand what's going on.  What's interesting is that I published all three images as I couldn't choose THE one. So I think I felt that there was a story here not just a single image.

For me, it wasn't so much a choice as not having time to change settings to freeze the motion and not wanting to pan the shot, but I think the last frame really completes the story. On its own, it would be less meaningful as the robin might just have been flying past the equipment. With the first two in the sequence, we can see that it alighted, it was aware of the photographer, it moved to the edge and it decided to go.
